Under 12 – Waterford Schoolboy League
Waterford Crystal 6-1 Tramore
We welcomed Tramore to Crystal Park this evening, with the lads looking to keep their strong run of form going, and they delivered with an impressive 6–1 victory after a hard-fought contest.
The opening half was very competitive, with both sides showing plenty of attacking intent. Tramore proved dangerous throughout, causing problems going forward, and we had to be at our very best defensively to deal with their threat. Despite creating chances of our own, the game remained finely balanced and the sides went in all square at half-time.
The second half told a different story as the lads really kicked on. With increased intensity, sharper movement and more clinical finishing, we began to take control. Once the breakthrough came, the confidence grew and the goals followed, turning a tight encounter into a good win.
Jake Murphy and Finn Kehoe both delivered excellent performances in front of goal, each grabbing a hat-trick to seal the victory. Jake scoring an excellent free kick and Finn scoring with an unbelievable solo effort were the standout efforts in their haul. . There were strong contributions from everyone as the team showed great cohesion and attacking quality.
Overall, it was a very impressive display. Credit to Tramore, who remained dangerous throughout and kept battling, but the lads’ second-half quality proved the difference and ensured another excellent result , next up is a home game against Portlaw.
