At Waterford Crystal FC, we’re proud to field teams from our youngest Academy players right through to our senior squads in the Waterford Junior League. Every player wears the navy and white with pride — developing their skills, teamwork, and love for the game in a supportive and ambitious environment.
🧒 Academy (Ages 5–9)
Our Academy introduces boys and girls to football in a fun, welcoming, and inclusive setting.
The focus is on enjoyment, confidence, and learning the core skills of the game through small-sided matches and creative training sessions. This is where every Crystal player’s journey begins — with friendships, teamwork, and a passion for football that will last a lifetime.
🏫 Waterford Schoolboy League (WSDL)
Our schoolboy section is one of the strongest and most active parts of the Club, providing a vital pathway for young players to progress and represent Waterford Crystal FC across the region.
Each age group has its own identity and goals, but all share the same commitment to hard work, development, and respect — values that define the club both on and off the pitch.
Under 10s – An introduction to competitive football, focused on fun, teamwork, and building confidence on the ball.
Under 11s – Developing technical ability and spatial awareness while encouraging creativity and expression during games.
Under 12s – A key transitional year where players learn tactics, positioning, and the responsibilities of each role within the team.
Under 13s – Entering the 11-a-side format, this squad continues to grow in maturity and understanding of the game.
Under 14s – Competing with determination and pride, this age group shows the strength and depth of our youth development pathway.
Under 16s – A talented and disciplined group preparing for the step into underage and senior football. Their dedication reflects the club’s long-term focus on developing homegrown players.
The Schoolboy structure is central to our identity — producing well-rounded players who not only succeed on the pitch but also learn respect, teamwork, and responsibility through sport.

Our senior section carries forward the tradition and ambition of Waterford Crystal FC, offering players a platform to perform at the highest levels of local football.
Under 17s – A key development team bridging the gap between schoolboy and adult football, nurturing the next generation of Crystal players.
Premier Division – The club’s flagship side, competing with passion and professionalism at the top tier of the Waterford Junior League.
Division 2A – A mix of experience and youth, providing valuable depth and continuity within the club’s senior ranks.
