In partnership with Waterford and South Tipperary Community Youth Service (WSTCYS) and the Erasmus+ “Pathways to Nature” project, the club completed a tree planting initiative at Crystal Park in 2024.
The programme aimed to highlight the positive connection between nature and wellbeing. As one of three initiatives carried out, local young people planted native Irish trees around the club grounds as a way of regenerating nature and improving local biodiversity.

With many green spaces in the city now being developed for housing, the club grounds provided the perfect location for this meaningful project.
Members young and old joined forces to make the day a success — a proud reflection of the community spirit that defines Waterford Crystal FC.
Just as we nurture our players, we now look forward to watching those trees grow and develop over the years to come.

Community involvement is at the heart of Waterford Crystal FC. The club continues to build strong partnerships across Waterford City to promote sport, wellbeing, and inclusion.
School Coaching Programme:
The club delivers weekly football coaching at Waterford Educate Together National School, with 5–6 week blocks of fun, inclusive sessions for hundreds of pupils each year. These sessions encourage participation, teamwork, and fitness in a supportive environment — helping introduce young children to football and the club community.
Partnerships & Engagement:
The club works closely with schools, youth organisations, and charities to foster positive relationships, encourage volunteerism, and make football accessible to all.
