Under 12 – Match Report

Our U12s produced an outstanding performance today to get back to winning ways with a convincing victory over Ferrybank.

The lads started the game with great energy and attacking intent, creating chances from the opening minutes. The goals began to flow with Jake Murphy and Finn Keogh both helping themselves to two goals each after some excellent team play and sharp finishing.

One of the standout moments of the game came from James Reddin, who struck a superb free kick from just outside the box, leaving the Ferrybank keeper with no chance.

Marcos also got on the scoresheet and could easily have had more, with two excellent efforts in the first half well saved by the Ferrybank goalkeeper. His movement and attacking play caused problems all game.

The final goal of the day was a special one, with Ruby scoring her first goal for Crystal—a brilliant moment and fully deserved. Well done Ruby! 👏🏻

At the other end, Ben in goal showed great composure throughout. His calmness when receiving the ball back and his decision-making to play it wide was excellent to watch. He also pulled off a great save from a penalty to cap off a strong performance.

It was a fantastic team performance all round and a great response from the squad. Hopefully with the weather improving we’ll see the end of games being called off and can now get back on track in the league, especially with a number of games still in hand to be played.

Well done to all the players and thanks as always to the coaches and parents for their continued support. ⚽️💙
