We faced a strong Southend side. We knew going into the game it would be a tough test, but after a few positional changes, the lads showed real heart, determination, and commitment across the pitch. Despite Southend taking the three points with a 4–0 scoreline, the effort and attitude from our boys were outstanding — a huge step forward from the opening game of the season and a real sign of progress.
