We made the trip to Carrick this morning and delivered a superb performance from the very first whistle, showing great energy, teamwork, and quality throughout.

Right from kick-off, the lads were on the front foot, moving the ball with confidence and playing some really lovely football. Their passing and movement caused problems all game, and it was clear to see how much they were enjoying themselves out on the pitch.

The attacking play was a real highlight, with plenty of chances created and, importantly, taken. Teddy got himself on the scoresheet with two well-taken goals, while Finn was in outstanding form, finding the net five times with a brilliant display of finishing. It was a joy to watch the team play with such freedom and confidence in front of goal.

Credit also goes to the rest of the squad, whose effort and work rate made it all possible. Every one of the 12 players contributed, whether it was pressing, passing, defending, or supporting each other. It was a real team performance, with everyone playing their part.

Most importantly, there was a great sense of enjoyment throughout, which is what it’s all about at this level. A fantastic morning’s football and a performance the whole squad can be proud of.
