Our Under 13 squad welcomed Park Rangers to Crystal Park yesterday afternoon, determined to keep their 100% league record intact — and they delivered another composed, confident performance from start to finish.

Crystal were sharp right from the first whistle, pressing high and creating early chances. The opening goal arrived after just six minutes: excellent work from Fawwaz unlocked the Park Rangers defence, slipping Asanda through on goal, and he made no mistake as he calmly slotted past the keeper to make it 1–0.

Three minutes later Tom Hayes danced past two defenders and curled a lovely effort just wide, but he didn’t have to wait long to get his goal. On 10 minutes Fawwaz once again turned provider, setting up Tom who this time buried his finish to double the lead.

Park Rangers responded well and enjoyed a spell of pressure, but Crystal’s back line were rock solid, cutting out danger and staying well organised.

On 23 minutes Crystal struck again. A well-delivered corner caused chaos in the box and James reacted quickest, poking the ball home to give Crystal a commanding 3–0 advantage.

The second half was a more even contest, with both sides carving out chances. Crystal made a number of substitutions, and each player slotted in seamlessly, showing great effort and determination — particularly during a tense moment when the defence somehow scrambled the ball clear from a Park Rangers corner.

Crystal had the opportunity to make it 4–0 from the penalty spot, but the effort drifted wide. Nonetheless, the lads remained disciplined and professional, seeing out the game to secure another clean sheet and another impressive win.
