Under 13 – Waterford Schoolboy League
Bohemians 0-5 Waterford Crystal
Tonight our U13 squad took on Bohemians under the lights in Ben Wadding Park for their second game of the season — and what a performance it was from start to finish.
Crystal made the perfect start, taking the lead after just two minutes when Asanda slipped Jake through on goal and he made no mistake with a composed finish. The same combination linked up again only three minutes later, with Jake doubling the lead to make it 2–0.
Bohs began to find their rhythm after that, but Crystal remained composed at the back and controlled the midfield exchanges. Tom was proving a real handful for the Bohs defence, causing problems every time he picked up the ball, and he finally got the goal his play deserved after 15 minutes to make it 3–0.
Crystal didn’t take their foot off the gas, and just before the break James added a fine fourth to give the visitors a commanding lead at half-time.
The second half saw Crystal make a number of changes, but the intensity and quality remained high. Further goals from Anthony, Finn, and Benjamin rounded off an excellent team display that showcased both depth and spirit across the squad.
A brilliant performance all around — great teamwork, work rate, and attitude from everyone. Thanks to all the players, coaches, and parents for their efforts tonight. The lads now turn their attention to Saturday’s home fixture against Dungarvan United, with kick-off at 12:30 in Crystal Park.
